12 Beers of Xmas – Day 8 – Lost Abbey, Track #10

Lost Abbey twice in three days? Oh, go on then! This is a 13.5% imperial stout brewed with coffee and cacao nibs.

It pours like you’d expect of a big impy stout; thick and syrupy with little in the way of a persistent head. The nose is mostly chocolate.

There’s more chocolate to come too, along with coffee and milk sweetness to give an almost mocha-like feel to things. To finish things of, there’s a background of smooth bourbon. It’s really drinkable… probably a good job that it’s not a big bottle given the strength.
